The Impulse Strategy

The Impulse strategy is based on measuring the impulses. CCI, RSI, Stochastic, or the MACD/OsMA indicator can be used. When using the MACD indicator, it is comfortable to examine the HistoGraph. When a positive or negative segment of the HistoGraph is formed, the value of its highest or lowest bar can be regarded as the last positive or negative impulse.

If the last positive impulse is greater than the last negative impulse, it is a sign that the price will go up in a long-term trend, so it is reasonable to open a buy position. In the opposite situation it is reasonable to open a sell position. Stops and limits on such positions should be bigger than usual stops and limits, so that the position will not be closed if the price oscillates in the short-term trend.
